This Accelerate Yellow Corvette C8 left our XPEL install shop wearing a ‘self-healing’ PPF clear bra with ceramic coating and PRIME XR window tint. We treated the Corvette’s nose, rockers, and A-pillars with ULTIMATE PLUS ™ Paint Protection Film. Followed by a full exterior FUSION PLUS ™ Ceramic Coating. Its bright yellow paint, and black racing stripes, is now protected against road grime. Our ceramic coating’s hydrophobic properties will keep the rain off its clear coat will making it easier to clean. Then, we applied PRIME XR PLUS ™ window film to its side and rear glass. This will protect the interior against 99 percent of harmful UV rays and deflect of 98 percent of infrared heat.
For the 2022 model year, the Corvette C8 Stingray did not change much from the outgoing production year. The 6.2-liter 490-hp V8 engine is still the standard power train for the 2022 Corvette C8. Moreover, the Z51 package increases the V8’s power output to 495-hp. The increase in performance is in addition to upgraded brakes, summer road tires, and electronic limited-slip rear differential. However, all C8 variants are equipped with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. As a result, the mid-engine Corvette will see 60 mph in under three seconds.
